Global Volunteer Day at Project C.U.R.E.

On Thursday, November 12th, 2015 the Global staff volunteered at the Project C.U.R.E warehouse in Centennial, CO. Project C.U.R.E. is the largest provider of donated medical supplies and equipment to developing countries around the world. The team arrived early in the morning to a warehouse filled wall to wall with donated medical supplies from throughout the United States.

Our task for the morning was to sort through donated shipments of medical supplies, reorganize and re-pack them for Project C.U.R.E.’s “C.U.R.E. Cargo” program. C.U.R.E Cargo delivers semi-trailer-sized cargo containers carrying medical donations to under-resourced hospitals, clinics and community health centers in developing countries throughout the world. After a few hours of sifting through and sorting medical supplies, the Global staff successfully loaded two palettes of medical supplies for shipment. The palettes Global loaded were only a small portion of each container that Project C.U.R.E sends out regularly, as each shipping container is filled with over $400,000 worth of donated medical supplies.
