Global Earns ACCME Accreditation with Commendation
Littleton, CO – July 30, 2014 – Global Education Group (Global) today announced that it earned Accreditation with Commendation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The ACCME decision places Global among a distinguished group of providers that demonstrate excellence across the 22 accreditation criteria and qualify for a six-year accreditation term.
“On behalf of Global’s limited group of education partners and our team of dedicated staff members and faculty, I appreciate the ACCME process and final decision to award commendation,” said Global’s General Manager, Stephen Lewis, MA, CCMEP.
In accordance with ACCME accreditation publishing guidelines, Global can state that it has been surveyed by the ACCME and awarded Accreditation with Commendation for six years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians.
ACCME accreditation seeks to assure the medical community and the public that Global Education Group provides physicians with relevant, effective, practice-based continuing medical education that supports US health care quality improvement.
The ACCME employs a rigorous, multilevel process for evaluating institutions’ continuing medical education programs according to the high accreditation standards adopted by all seven ACCME member organizations. These organizations of medicine in the US are the American Board of Medical Specialties, the American Hospital Association, the American Medical Association, the Association for Hospital Medical Education, the Association of American Medical Colleges, the Council of Medical Specialty Societies, and the Federation of State Medical Boards of the US, Inc.
