With 19 years of medical education, executive management, and professional society experience, Stephen is a leader in the field. Selected as one of Colorado’s “Top 40 Under 40” leaders by the Denver Business Journal, Stephen has served as President of the Institute for Continuing Healthcare Education and President/CEO of Medical Education Collaborative. In addition to delivering presentations and developing testimony related to CME, nursing education, and regulatory issues, Stephen serves as President for the North American Association of Medical Education and Communications Companies (NAAMECC) and is a columnist for Medical Meetings magazine. Prior to entering the CME arena, Stephen served as a lobbyist and U.S. Senate Press Secretary. He received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Brandy G. Lewis, CMP, CCMEP

Brandy brings nine years of medical education operations, logistics, meeting planning, and project management experience to Global education partners. An active participant within organizations such as the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) and the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (ACME), Brandy has delivered various medical education presentations at industry conferences regarding CME guidelines, regulatory issues, and best practices. Her knowledge of continuing medical education issues and organizations comes from several years of CME project direction with manufacturers, medical education and communication companies, and accredited providers. A Certified Meeting Professional and a member of Meeting Professionals International, Brandy received her B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Brian Williams, MD
Medical Director
With significant clinical, research, and emergency medicine experience, Brian guides Global’s analysis of education gaps and needs assessment data to help ensure that activities and sequential learning initiatives bridge the gap between current and best practices. He guides clinical review improvement efforts and helps partners and faculty identify answers to questions such as, “What frustrates you most in clinical practice?” Brian has published articles and textbook chapters and delivered presentations on various clinical topics, including nocturnal asthma, tissue mitochondrial electron flow and cigarette smoking, and oxidative metabolism following global cerebral ischemia. A former member of the NASA Space Shuttle Medical Team, Brian received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Amanda Glazar, PhD
Director, Adult Learning and Outcomes
Amanda brings over eight years of clinical and research experience in the areas of physiology and cancer biology to Global’s clinical review group. Her research career includes experience at both Johns Hopkins University and the University of Colorado where she has worked on numerous grant applications for both government and private supported research efforts. She also has experience delivering continuing education programs to practitioners in the area of reproductive physiology. Amanda received her MS and Ph.D. degrees from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Amber R. Zacarias, PharmD
Lead Clinical Reviewer
Amber leads the Global clinical review team with advanced knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards, as well as scientific experience. Her career includes leadership in retail pharmacy and as a certified nurse assistant. She has delivered various continuing education presentations on topics ranging from cardiology to alcohol dependency to aerosolized antibiotics. Amber is a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Jackie Dawson, RN, MSN
Nurse Planner & Reviewer
Jackie is a master’s-prepared nurse with more than 15 years experience in nursing/medical continuing education and writing/editing. Jackie served as Lead Nurse Planner for Colorado organizations specializing in online continuing education, and she helped pioneer new technologies in order to advance more effective and efficient delivery of education that improved performance in practice. She also assisted in the development of new models and analytical tools to measure educational outcomes and fine-tune the ability to design education with greater impact and better measure educational effectiveness and erosion. Jackie enjoys working with education in various therapeutic areas, including activities that help reduce medical/medication errors in nursing and medicine.
Heather E. Perry
Manager of Medical Education
With more than 14 years of medical planning, education, and consulting experience at organizations including Exempla Healthcare and Health One, Heather is an established leader in the field. She led development of a comprehensive, facility-based screening and training program and has worked in tandem with national hospital systems to encourage patient utilization of healthcare services. Heather’s continuing education and related experience includes performance measurement, continuous process improvement, staff development, and web-based communication successes. She enjoys the fast pace of CME and continuing education and continues to earn her reputation for being a dynamic, performance-driven, and well-respected member of the Global team.
Allison Kickel
Program Manager
Allison has both U.S. and international continuing education program and project management experience. As Project Manager for the American Eagle Institute in Taiwan, she created strategy and managed an immersion program improvement project that improved instructor quality and modernized curriculum and testing methods for all schools and continuing education programs within the AEI system. She has designed and executed a Document Reference Certification Project to verify credentials and generated a Live Teaching Demo Project to evaluate the eligibility of faculty and instructors. Allison takes a leadership role to ensure that Global certification, educational outcomes measurement, and other services are managed with partners within deadlines and that these services maintain compliance with all standards, rules, and requirements.
