March 9, 2011

Littleton, CO — Global Education Group (Global) today announced that it earned approval from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners to be an “Approved Provider of Nurse Practitioner continuing education.” The AANP accreditation enables Global to work with education partners to develop and certify nurse practitioner education for credit.

“Rapid changes in the healthcare system require continuing educational activities that address specific gaps and needs among physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and others, “said Global President and CEO Stephen Lewis, MA, CCMEP. “We are proud of the combined efforts of our staff, education partners, and faculty to advance professional practices among all critical learning audiences.”

Education partners are encouraged to contact Global for additional information regarding development and certification of education for Nurse Practitioner credit. Global’s initial accreditation period runs through 2013, and AANP provided the following accreditation statement: “Global Education Group is approved as a provider of nurse practitioner continuing education by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners: AANP Provider Number 110121.”
