Many articles, commentators, and the AMA Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs have worried about the potential for bias in CME activities that are underwritten via pharmaceutical industry grants. The most comprehensive and recent study to date, however, shows that virtually all physicians affirmatively state they perceive no bias in CME activities whether or the education was underwritten with medical industry funding or without this support.
